Woraus besteht das?

Mit der unten beschrieben Anleitung können Sie diese Einstellungen ändern, so dass die o.g. Probleme nicht mehr auftauchen. Falls Sie [...]]]> Wie kann ich es verhindern, dass “The Mindjet Team” immer unten steht, wenn ich eine Map ausdrucke? Und wie kann ich es so einstellen, dass der graue Hintergrund immer mitgedruckt wird? Denn er frisst nur Toner…

Mit der unten beschrieben Anleitung können Sie diese Einstellungen ändern, so dass die o.g. Probleme nicht mehr auftauchen. Falls Sie mit MindManager 6 arbeiten – das Prinzip ist genau gleich, die Befehle sind aber anders zu finden:

1. Öffnen Sie Extras -> Map-Vorlagen

2. Klicken Sie einmal auf “Neue leere Map”

3. Dann auf “Bearbeiten”

4. Klicken Sie auf das Programm-Menü, dann “Vorbereiten” und “Eigenschaften”

5. Jetzt können Sie die relevanten Felder ändern, und auf “OK” drücken:

6. Öffnen Sie noch mal das Programm-Menü, dann “Drucken” und “Seite einrichten”

7. Und jetzt können Sie andere Eigenschaften ändern:

• Hintergrund soll aus sein. Sonst verschwendet MindManager viel Toner, indem er einen grauen Hintergrund ausdruckt
• Ich persönlich mag den Rand auch nicht so sehr. Das ist aber Geschmacksache.
• Im Feld “Fußzeile drucken” sehen Sie Codes wie “&Modification Date” (Datum der letzten Änderung). Diese werden automatisch eingegeben.
• Das Gleiche gilt natürlich auch für &Author: Nachdem wir unter Dokumenteigenschaften den Autor geändert haben, erscheint jetzt Ihr Name anstatt “The Mindjet Team”.

8. Drücken Sie auf OK.

9. Klicken Sie auf Speichern, oder drücken Sie Strg+S

10. Schließen Sie MindManager und starten Sie das Programm erneut. Wenn Sie jetzt auf Druckvorschau klicken, werden Sie die Änderungen sehen.

Anmerkung

In der gleichen Art und Weise können Sie auch andere Änderungen in der “Neue leere Map”-Formatvorlage vornehmen. Zum Beispiel können Sie definieren, welche Flaggen benutzt werden dürfen, oder welche Füllfarbe das Hauptthema haben sollte.

It’s been an amazing time on the Mindjet booth. We made many, many new interesting contacts [...]]]> Finally, I’ve found some time to write a few lines about my trip to CeBIT 2007 for MindBusiness. There’s on more day to go so it seems like just the right time to tell you a bit about the experience.

It’s been an amazing time on the Mindjet booth. We made many, many new interesting contacts and have yet to check out all the different business opportunities. Thank you very, very much to everyone at Mindjet and all our partners on site who just kept sending interesting people to our desk all the time. It’s working together like this that is the basis for great opportunities.

This was also a great chance to refresh contacts with people we’re already working with – in some cases this was the first time I actually met people in person rather than just emailing or talking on the phone. That’s one of the things I really like about trade fairs. I’ve yet to see a piece of technology that can replace that.

So, what were people most interested in this year? Personally, I got the impression that there were three major topics for MindBusiness. In no particular order that’s an easy-to-use project planning tool (i.e. Map4Plan), creating links between MindManager and SharePoint as well as SharePoint in general.

I think people were happy to see that we provided a number of solutions to deal with these pain points:

• The current MindManager and SharePoint 2003 interfaces in Map4Plan
• The update for Map4Plan we’re working on that includes support for SharePoint 3.0 re. SharePoint Server 2007 as well as additional features such as synchronizing lists between Map4Plan and SharePoint (no definite date here yet)
• A new tool for MindManager that will let you display the structure of your SharePoint site as well as all the permissions and list and library details in a business map at the click of a button (no date here yet either)
• Our SharePoint site www.sharepointberater.de that lets you actually see for yourself what SharePoint can do

We also had a fair number of requests concerning our decision making tool Map4Score as well as the enhanced HTML export tool Map4Web. Our new concept and method for trainings and consulting “OnePage” was very well received by people we had the chance to talk to about it. There was also a great deal of interest in our MindManager publications by Dagmar Herzog. There only available in German the moment but I hope we might get to see one or two of them in English some time in the future.

So, what was your stay at CeBIT 2007 like? Did you meet interesting people? Did you get new ideas for business opportunities? Or did you just end up with swollen feet, pain in your legs and an aching back?

If you’re looking for a planning tool that will get data from Excel into MindManager or let you publish project plans for your team, that’s the way to go. So just drop by if you think that sounds interesting. Of course we’ll be showing much, much more which I’ve outlined in a previous post.
