You say that the link should appear in search results? I have created several new content types and used the newlink.aspx template in these content types. I&#039;m then capturing other metadata as well. However, when I do a search for any of the link content types I do not get any search results returned.</description>

		<description>Adding a &quot;link to document&quot; fairly doubles the usefulness of SharePoint.  It is unfortunate that you cannot seem to assign a &quot;Document Type&quot; to links as that prevents users from grouping the links with like docs.</description>
